EFI-890R Completes FAA Type Inspection Flight Test (TIA)
 
 
Tucson, AZ – Universal Avionics Systems Corporation (UASC) announced on Thursday August 5, 2004 they successfully completed the FAA flight test (TIA) for certification of the EFI-890R display system. Universal Avionics Systems Corporation (UASC) Director of Engineering Services Grady Dees comments: “This is the culmination of years of development and is a major step in the STC and TSO process for these products.” Grady Dees went on to say, “I would like to extend my sincere thanks and congratulations to all who held make this possible.” The flight test included various system checks to ensure the EFI-890R work in all possible configurations. Two FAA Test Pilots, one FAA Flight Test Engineer and Universal Avionics Systems Corporation M890R Support Team conducted the flight tests. Universal Avionics Systems Corporation King Air 350 was used as the flight test bed. The EFI-890R has an 8.9-inch diagonal display for Primary Flight Display (PFD) and Navigation Display (ND) applications. Supports existing analog and digital aircraft systems. The EFI-890R has superior sunlight readability. Available in 2-, 3- and 4-Unit suites.
