Tucson, Arizona - May 27, 2005 - Universal Avionics System Corporation has received an ODAR, (Organization Designated Airworthiness Representative), designation from the FAA. The ODAR essentially allows Universal Avionics ODAR members to act as FAA representatives in regards to Domestic Airworthiness, Export and Conformity Inspections.
Receiving the ODAR approval from the FAA is a great step for Universal Avionics in allowing the flexibility to apply appropriate FAA Quality Domestic Airworthiness, Export and Conformity Inspections to their product line without direct FAA involvement, enabling Universal Avionics to better respond to both Domestic and International Customers. Karl Miller, Universal Avionics Manager of Quality Assurance, is the designated ODAR Focal Point and FAA contact. Karl reports directly to the FAA Principal Inspector for ODAR related issuses.
