Tucson, Arizona – June 18, 2005 - Universal Avionics announced today that one of its leading dealers, Duncan Aviation in Battle Creek, Michigan has completed an STC for a three-display EFI-890R installation on a King Air B-300. “We couldn’t be more pleased with the progress Duncan Aviation is making in retrofits of Universal Avionics flat panel displays. This is the third STC Duncan Aviation has completed utilizing Universal EFI-890R displays," stated Paul De Herrera, Universal Avionics Vice President of Marketing.
Universal Avionics EFI-890R’s ability to integrate with the existing dual APS-65 Flight director / autopilot and ADC-80Q Air Data Computer provides flight director and redundant air data displays for both the pilot and co-pilot. The system was interfaced with the existing Collins ProLine 2 radio suite and Collins Weather Radar system. A Universal Avionics TAWS, UNS-1L Super Flight Management System, and provisions for a Vision-1 Synthetic Vision were also included in the flight deck upgrade.
